Welcome to our latest blog! Joni and I are going back to France for the first time since 2018. We had planned to go back in both 2020 and 2021, but COVID got in the way. We'll be flying out of and returning to Montreal. It's not as close to our home on the Cape as Boston, but we were able to book non-stop flights from Canada. For us it was a no brainer.
We'll be visiting Provence, the Alps, and the Pyrenees, and of course catching several stages of the Tour de France, but the most exciting addition to this trip is that four of our closest friends will be joining us in the Pyrenees! I'm confident that they'll enjoy France's most southern mountain range as we much as we do. The scenery is spectacular, the accommodations and cuisine at l'hotel d'Angleterre are second to none, and the excitement of the Tour de France is without a peer in the sporting world.
In the past many of you shared that you were unable to leave a comment on the blog. Hopefully I have fixed that issue, but if it's still a problem, let me know. Lastly, I'm going to try to minimize my comments and maximize my photos, that way I can spend more time enjoying France and less time writing.
That's all for now, but as they say in France, "a bientôt."

Thanks, Rick! I so enjoy armchair travel with you and Joni. Yesterday I brought home from the library a Lonely Planet "France" travel guide. I'll enjoy using it while I follow your blog. As for a fresh croissant, well, I think I'm out of luck!
Okay! I am ready for adventuring in France. I’ll have my iced tea and a spot in the shade ready to share your adventures. Safe travels!
