Day 2-Lavender

The area around the village of Salt is one of our favorites.  It offers incredible views of both the lavender fields in the valleys below and distant views of Mont Ventoux, "le Geant of Provence."

Market day in Sault.

If you look closely at the musician,  you may notice his eyes are on the girl in the orange skirt.  I'm not sure it's a skirt, maybe it's a belt.

For our lunch we returned to the Bistro de Lagarde.  It's in the middle of  nowhere, isolated because at one point France's missile silos were located in this area.  The restaurant is one of our favorites in all of France, and today's meal was equal to its Michelin star.

Avocado cream underneath crispy somethings.  One of two delicious amuse bouches.

Those lavender fields are gorgeous! I bet the air smells wonderful too and you probably are benefitting from their relaxation properties; but then again, how can you not be relaxed by your beautiful surroundings, and outstanding food and wine? Cheers to you and Joni.
